Getting There
Air Service
The Lewisburg, WV airport is located 50 miles (1 hour drive) to the Homestead hotel.
The Roanoke, VA airport is located 62 miles (80 minute drive) to the Homestead hotel.
The Shenandoah Valley, VA airport is located 80 miles (100 minute drive) to the Homestead hotel.
Shuttle Service
The Homestead Resort provides an in-house system of transportation to and from the Roanoke Regional Airport and Lewisburg WV airport. Reservations are required 48 hours in advance. JPA has negotiated discount pricing of $50 per person each way. To make reservations please call the resort Transportation Department at (540) 839-7711. You may also request VIP transfers, or quotes for large groups.
Parking at the resort is complimentary. Valet parking is $15 plus tax per night.
Weather & Dress
The Homestead is an all-season resort, benefitting from relatively mild weather year-round. Refreshing mountain breezes help keep the humidity pleasantly low. High temperatures in late April average 69º F, with an average low of 41º F. Rainfall in April/May averages 3½ inches; so bring a rain jacket in case of shower.
While business casual is the attire for all JPA business functions, The Homestead has specific requirements for dinner in The Dining Room, as well as in The 1766 Grille. Jacket and tie are required for evening dining in The Dining Room. In the 1766 Grille, open for dinner only, jacket and collared shirt required for men, no denim. For Tuesday night dinner and dancing, coat and tie is appropriate for men, cocktail attire for women.
